Improper system size for the home
Many existing single-stage systems are too large or too small for the home. An oversized system short-cycles — running too briefly to pull humidity out of the air — while an undersized one runs constantly and still can't keep up with the heat. We perform Manual J load calculations to size your new system correctly for your home's square footage, insulation, and layout.
Old R-22 or R-410A refrigerant system
R-22 is phased out and increasingly expensive, and R-410A is now being phased down as well. Today's modern systems run R-454B, a lower-impact refrigerant — upgrading saves money long-term and is better for the environment.
